Community Relations Unit
During the past year, the Community Relations Unit responded to 238 calls for assistance. These calls ranged from traffic problems to demonstrators at an abortion clinic to strikes by disgruntled employees.
Throughout the year, the Community Relations Unit continued to present the D.A.R.E program and the Safety Awareness Program in the City’s schools and participated in an Outreach Program, whose goal is to acquire toys for the Woman’s Shelter. Additionally, Unit members attended various tenant association meetings and participated in several community watch programs, including the National Night Out Program.
