Special Weapons And Tactics

The Atlantic City SWAT Team is comprised of highly trained officers with diverse backgrounds and assignments. These officers receive hands-on training in the handling of emergency situations which often involve high risk to themselves or others.

The officers assigned to the Team are from all facets of the Department and work all shifts. This results in the added capability of having SWAT trained personnel on a scene in minutes.

Atlantic City's Team is made available to other Departments in the area when necessary to assist neighboring cities that may not have the necessary capability. Much of the incident training of the team is conducted with the FBI and involves scenarios that require tremendous levels of realism
