Alcohol Beverage Control

Atlantic City is only one of several shore communities in New Jersey who are joining the campaign in keeping alcohol out of the hands of our youth. Cops in Shops is a program where local police officers work undercover in participating retail establishments posing as employers to apprehend adults who purchase alcohol for underaged drinkers.

According to statistics more than 7,750 underaged people and adults have been arrested in New Jersey as a result of the Cops in Shops program. Underaged drinkers a minimum fine of $500, and loss of driver's license for six month, and arrest. You can obtain an ABC Handbook written in English and Spanish by clicking HERE.
